Pam Dollar

Nominated by Leah A. Price

Leah says, “Pam Dollar is a defender of the voiceless. Being the mother of a child with autism, she has taken on the heartfelt duty of advocating for not only other children with autism, but also all disabilities. Pam has served on the board of directors of TEAAM (Together Enhancing Autism Awareness in Mississippi), is the parent coordinator for REACH (the Mississippi Professional Develop Grant), and is the new Interim Director of the Mississippi Parent Information and Training Center. She founded and runs the Central Mississippi Autism Support Group, which serves as a source of hope to families and individuals in Mississippi affected by autism. She has given of her life to help those who are touched by this devastating and lifelong disorder. She has provided advocacy, education, and support to everyone with whom she comes in contact. My one-word description of her is ‘devoted’.”
