James L. Moore, Jr., MD

A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Dr. Moore earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he also completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He then completed fellowships at the esteemed M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and the Vincent T. Lombardi Cancer Research Center at Georgetown University Medical Center.

He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and by the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as a member of the American Medical Association, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation and the Winfred L. Wiser Society.

Dr. Moore is a member of both the Radiation Safety Committee and the Cancer Committee at Baptist Health Systems. Dr. Moore is also the founder of Walking Forward, a support group designed to provide gynecologic cancer patients with much-needed information and peer support.
