Car Seat Safety

As you plan for your baby's arrival, there's nothing more important than considering how to keep your little one protected. That important job will begin even before you leave the hospital, when you place your precious infant in the car for the first ride home. In keeping with the state law which requires all car passengers to wear seat belts or be in an approved, properly installed car seat, your baby must leave the hospital in an infant car seat.

Since vehicles and infant car seat styles vary, learning how to position your infant car seat securely may not be easy. Fortunately, expert help is available. The Jackson metro area has two car seat fitting stations where professionals can teach you how to install your car seat properly. They can also check your already-installed car seat to see if it is positioned correctly.

Simply call for an appointment. You are encouraged to learn proper car seat installation BEFORE Mom and baby are discharged from the hospital. Since these fitting stations serve the entire metropolitan area, it's to your advantage to plan well ahead.
