Tour the Hederman Cancer Center

On May 5, 2003, former President George H. W. Bush and Mrs. Bush toured the Hederman Cancer Center as part of a fundraising effort for The Campaign for Baptist Cancer Services.

Earlier in the day, more than 800 people attended a luncheon during which $1.1 million was raised for Baptist Cancer Services.

Following the luncheon, President and Mrs. Bush toured the Hederman Cancer Center, interacting with patients, physicians, and employees in the Radiation Oncology and Chemotherapy Infusion areas.

At the conclusion of the tour, Baptist employees gave President Bush a warm reception during a press statement at the Hederman Cancer Center.

After taking a few questions from the media, former President Bush and Mrs. Bush left in the motorcade.
