Baptist Education Resource Center hosted a nursing mentorship reception on May 6, 2008 to honor high school students participating in the program. Ten Ridgeland High School seniors spent two days a week for eight weeks shadowing a Baptist nurse and Patient Care Assistants. The Mississippi Office of Nursing Workforce and the Bower Foundation, along with Hinds Community College, work in collaboration to expose high school seniors to the nursing profession.
