Baptist Recognizes Tenured Employees During Service Awards Banquet

Jackson, Miss. - June 30, 2008 - Every May, Baptist Health Systems recognizes employees for their service to the organization at a dinner banquet. Every fifth year an employee works, he or she is recognized. This year, several employees reached 30, 35 and 40 years of service.

Serving for 30 years are Gwendolyn Palmer, Veresteen Thompson, Byron West, Sherman Glass, Maurice Hinton, Gloria Houseton, Nelda Lackey, Derrick Mason, Jerry Mobley, Jessie Slater and Robert Turner.

Serving 35 years are James Smith, George Mitchell, Linda Malone, Joe Magee, Margaret Cornelius and Lena Luckett.

Three employees were recognized for 40 years of service. They were Edith Jenkins, Bertha Cornelius and Charles Wilkerson.
