Baptist’s Echocardiographic Laboratory Tech Director Elected as Fellow

Jackson, Miss. – March 27, 2006 - Bill McManus, technical director of Baptist’s Echocardiographic Laboratory, has been elected as a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography. He is one of only three in the state and the only non-physician to have recognition as Fellow of the ASE.

Echocardiography uses ultrasound to examine the structure and function of the heart and to diagnose a variety of abnormalities and diseases. It is an imaging technique that relies on the experience and training of both the physician and sonographer.
