For the first time, McKesson introduced a special category to recognize excellence in medication management. Baptist was chosen by a panel of independent judges to receive the VIP Award this year. Each award winner receives a $10,000 donation from McKesson which will go to The Baptist Health Foundation. "It is very gratifying to honor Baptist Health Systems as a premier performer in healthcare today," said Jay Deady, senior vice president of marketing, McKesson Provider Technologies. "Our goal is to help McKesson customers digitize healthcare so they can streamline and automate key processes while improving quality, safety and efficiency." VIP Award applicants underwent a rigorous judging process based on criteria including improvements in patient and medication safety, labor productivity, physician/clinician IT adoption, revenue management, resource utilization/planning and other categories. |
