Car Safety Seminar for Parents and Their Children
On Tuesday, October 19, 2004 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Baptist will sponsor a free event featuring car seat safety. Consequences of not using car seats and improperly used car seats will be discussed. Different types of car seats will be displayed and the differences explained. The subject of infants in rear-facing car seats will also be addressed and tips for what to look for when purchasing a car seat and how the car seat should fit will be included.

Make Room for Baby Seminar
Also, Baptist Women's Services is sponsoring a free event called "Make Room for Baby" on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the Colonnades Medical Office Building located on 501 Marshall Street, Jackson, Miss. from 8 a.m. until noon. Baptist physicians and other professionals will offer seminars on topics concerning pre-conception care, financial planning, parenting, relationships, decorating, and diet and exercise. Local vendors will also be on hand to exhibit everything that parents will need for the new baby.
